Teaching Australia has set up the OpenBook program, which is is a series of "scenario building" workshops that are looking at scenario planning for education for 2030
There is opportunity for a team* of teachers to be involved by
(1) Running a creative (but simple) "Day in the Life" activity where students imagine and respond to the idea of "a day in the life of the year 2030" in their own classrooms
(2) Answering some some online survey questions
(3) Participating in a virtual online discussion forum to discuss (1) and (2)
feedback from these activities then informs the scenario building process
student work will be published by teachers using an online environment (see www.classpublisher.com) provided by the agency.
* the team can be spread over a geographical area- since the agency (Neville Freeman) contracted to run the workshops is also providing online discussion tools (webEx)
Here are some overview documents.
