Text Box: term three we continued the ICT theme, with Ron Lake addressing the meeting on trends in education. The Term four theme is under discussion. Proposals include VELS assessment information (if available),  Habits of Text Box: Cluster PD Activities
 Cluster schools agreed to allocate week 7 each term to a cluster staff meeting, In term one, this was a whole staff day based on  VELS and the student negotiated curriculum in Elizabeth Vale. Staff feedback indicated this was well received. The term two workshops were action research reports and ICT workshops, and in Text Box: Mind, Protocols, a PoLT module, and some staff have requested more ICT workshops. Developing a suitable range  for the needs for  cluster schools is challenging so feedback is welcome.

Biggest discrepancy between staff and student perceptions  “is the program responsive to students needs”; and the implications for student choice.

Text Box: Principles of Learning and Teaching 
This program involves surveying teachers and students against the six  principles which describe effective teaching and learning. It has involved collating surveys, interviewing teachers, delivering PoLT modules / PD programs.
Common foci across the cluster : ICT usage, and connecText Box: POLT 
“Instead of being told about teaching by “others”, PoLT helps  your reflect on your own  practice, and  lets students express their views on how the class is working “
